On October 3, 2018, the New York Times published an article by Peter Baker titled, "In Risky Shift, Trump and G.O.P. Directly assail Kavanaugh's Accuser.
It stated that, President trump resisted to directly attack the woman whose sexual allegation has jeopardized his supreme court nomination. One adviser even puts it like, the accuser had to be treated like a "faberge egg". But it was not long until president could resist and had to talk with the aides and turn up the heat. So he revved up a political rally this week mocking Christine Blasey ford.
It has been noted that, Dr. Blasey, has accused Judge kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her when they were teenagers. As well as, a statement from her former boyfriend says that, she had not been fully truthful in her testimony before the Senate judiciary Committee last week. It is noted that further, 3 undecided Republican senators have insisted that Dr. Blasey's allegations should be taken seriously. The voting on the same will begin on Friday and it is expected to hold a final vote on over the weekend.
As well as, some of the president's strongest supporters called his attack on Dr. Blasey counterproductive. Mr. Graham even made a statement saying that he would tell the president, "knock it off, you're not helping". It also mentions that, a more aggressive attack on Dr. Blasey's credibility came after Democrats had spent alot of time picking apart Judge kavanaugh's testimony, looking for contractions to undercut his denials that he ever mistreated women while drunk in high school and college.
In certain events people have conveyed their thoughts saying that the president was attacking Dr. Blasey. But his counselor insisted that Mr. Trump was not attacking Dr. Blasey. She has also conveyed that they are treating her like a faberge egg.
After looking at all the statements and evidences, Mr. Bonjean have said, "What really matters for the deciding senators is whether there is real evidence or corroboration that a sexual assault actually accured".
