The government of the United states is persistently changing from the time the country was born. Till today, there have been many generations and nations that have emerged over the years. The U.S federal government and state and all the local governments have a phase for change from 1781 to the present time in which their associations were continuously changing.
For a person to understand the different epochs of U.S governmental history, and individual first needs to understand the records between the federal government and state and local governments. The body of law of the U.S initiates a straight tie-up between the state governments and congress. So congress is given the power to declare war and create armies. The U.s charter also forbids states from carrying-out acts that would undermine the federal government, like; making treaties, coining money and making war. The state government has the power to create/destroy local governments.
as each level of government deals with the others, there are clear dissimilarity in the stages of interactions that happens. The seperate stages of government is the U.S have some thing known as formal meetings: national to state, state to national, concurrent powers and state to local.
The interaction of the seperate stages of government is dependent on the scheme of federalism. Federalism comes from the subjective that there are 2 levels of government that synchronize in one nation. The U.S has been through various periods of federalism, which involve dual federalism, co-operative federalism, picket-fence federalism and conflicted federalism. Each stage have typical attribute and can be seen in different time frames of U.S history.
As the U.S government developed through many changes over the flight path of history, the government still remains based on a federal system in which powers are divided among national, state and local governments. The federal system recognized that the U.S is a large and diverse nation, so by having state and local governments we can represent the diversity. The U.S government will always keep on changing, and as it changes the way in which it is governed will change slightly with the birth of new recommendations.
